A Story of Four
Formed in late 2015, Above the Moon is a straight up suburban New Jersey rock band. No bells and whistles, no backing tracks. Incorporating a diverse group of influences from singer-songwriter and rock, to shoegaze and pop, the band has carved out a distinctive sound that is authentically theirs.
The year 2025 marks a decade together, and in that time, the band has played all over the tri-state area, released 5 EP's (one recorded with Rob Freeman of Hidden in Plain View, and two with Joe Reinhart of Hop Along) as well as an acoustic EP recorded over the 2020 pandemic, and an 11 track full length released in 2023, both of which the band wrote, produced and recorded themselves at their home base, Bottle Hill Recording, in Madison, NJ.
Always looking to challenge themselves and do something different, for 2025 the band plans to release two 5-track EP's, There Is No Arrival Volumes 1 and 2. These are a collection of songs written over the last two years that explore the idea of living in the here and now, because that’s all we really have.
